STORYLINE:

Cupid's arrow and a lot more strike at Madhav Shastri (R. Madhavan) when he first has a glimpse of beautiful Reena Malhotra (Diya Mirza). Thereafter he meets her again and finds out that she is the betrothed of one Rajiv, and so impersonating Rajiv he enters Reena's life. They both fall in love. Then American-settled Rajiv Samra (Saif Ali Khan), who used to know Madhav from college, comes to India to marry Reena. Reena is shocked to find out that the one she has given her heart out to is a fraud and a fake. Accordingly, she decides not to do anything with him, and let her parents (Maya Alagh and Navin Nischal) go ahead with the arranged marriage with Rajiv.

He also confronts Reena, but Reena refuses to have anything to do with him. This devastates Madhav (or Maddy), who plans to go to San Francisco and start a new life. By this time Rajiv, starts preparation for their marriage. But at the time of marriage ceremony, Rajiv observes that Reena has no excitement and charm for marriage. He then takes Reena to a separate room and asks her whether she loves him or Maddy. He insists that she use her method to decide (which was told to her by Maddy).
